The South East Cornerstone School Division #209 was officially formed on January 1, 2006 with the amalgamation of 6 divisions in southeastern Saskatchewan. The school division serves 42 schools; enrolment to date is approx. 8,014 students.

Director of Education, Don Rempel, serves as the Chief Executive Officer to the Board of Education, chaired by Audrey Trombley. The Board Consists of 10 Board Members representing the electors of southeastern Saskatchewan.

Oxbow Elementary School - Grades K through 5

Oxbow Elementary provides a full range of required academic courses. Modern facilities include a gym, resource center and computer room. We have excellent fine arts co-curricular activities including 2 yearly public performances. We also offer an age-appropriate intramural program.

Southeast Regional College

Southeast Regional College provides post secondary education to residents of southeast Saskatchewan. Southeast Regional College also provides post secondary courses from SIAST, the University of Regina, and University of Saskatchewan. The head office is located in Weyburn, with satellite offices in Estevan, Whitewood, Assiniboia, Indian Head, and Moosomin. The Energy Training Institute is located in the Estevan office. Select classes are also available in other communities throughout the region.

Expressway Family Centre

The Expressway Family Centre offers educational opportunities to pre-school and school aged children and their families.  Pre-Kindergarten and three year old play group are offered throughout the school year.  Please check out our ad in the Oxbow Herald to learn about activities or stop in at the centre to pick up our program guide.  The majority of activities are free of charge unless otherwise stated.  

Playschool and Pre-K programs are offered Monday and Wednesday.  Call the Expressway Family Center for more information.
